CarbonFootprint Tracker is an application designed to help users calculate their air travel carbon footprint. It enables users to input their travel details, view the number of trees they need to plant to offset their emissions and track their carbon footprint over time.

We developed this application within a week as part of our first group project at CodeClan, using JavaScript. During this project, we gained valuable experience working with APIs and React. We also used Express.js to create a REST API to communicate with the database.

Our biggest challenge during the project was working with the API to calculate the emissions from a journey. The API documentation was limited, which required extra research to get it working correctly.

Despite the challenges and time constraints, we successfully completed the project and presented it to our lecturers and cohort.
